KS Bharat (born October 3, 19the 93) is an Indian international cricketer who plays as a wicket-keeper batsman for the Indian cricket team, Andhra Pradesh in domestic cricket, and the Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL. In February 2023, he made his Test debut for India against Australia. In February 2015, he became the first wicket-keeper batter to hit three hundred in the Ranji Trophy.

KS Bharat was born in Visakhapatnam on October 3, 1993, to Kona Srinivas Rao, a master artisan at the city’s navy dockyard, and Manga Devi, a housewife. He attended St. Aloysius High School and graduated from Dr. Lankapalli Bullayya College with a BCom degree.
Bharat started training with the Andhra Ranji Trophy team at the age of eleven. He was one of the ball boys for India’s One-Day International against Pakistan in Visakhapatnam in 2005. Bharat began his wicket-keeping career at the age of 19.

In February 2015, he became the first wicket-keeper batter to hit three hundred in the Ranji Trophy.
In 2015, he signed for ₹10 lakh with the Indian Premier League team Delhi Daredevils. He did not play and was released before the next season. In July 2018, he was picked to India Blue’s squad for the 2018-19 Duleep Trophy.
KS Bharat International Career
In November 2019, Bharat was called up to India’s Test team to replace Wriddhiman Saha in the second Test against Bangladesh. He later entered the ODI squad against Australia in January 2020, following Rishabh Pant’s concussion. In January 2021, he remained on standby for the Test series against England.
Bharat had a memorable appearance in November 2021, replacing the injured Saha in the first Test against New Zealand. He demonstrated his wicket-keeping abilities, taking two catches and stumping. In February 2022, he was named to India’s Test squad against Sri Lanka.
Finally, on February 9, 2023, Bharat made his Test debut against Australia, and in January 2024, he contributed with both bat and gloves in the Test series against England, scoring 41 and 28 runs and causing four dismissals in the contest.

Bharat was bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL auction in February 2021, ahead of the 2021 Indian Premier League season. He appeared in several matches and rose to prominence after scoring a last-ball six against the Delhi Capitals.
In February 2022, he was purchased by the Delhi Capitals in the 2022 Indian Premier League auction for ₹2 crore. Like in 2015, he did not play and was released for the next season.
In December 2022, he was purchased by the Gujarat Titans in the 2023 Indian Premier League auction for ₹1.2 crore. In December 2023, he was signed by the Kolkata Knight Riders for the 2024 Indian Premier League at a base price of ₹50 lakh.
