Heinrich Klaasen is a limited-overs cricket player for the South African national side. He was born on July 30, 1991. He participated in the 2015 Africa T20 Cup as a member of the Northern cricket squad. In February 2021, Klaasen led South Africa for the first time in a T20I match. In August 2017, Klaasen was picked in the Nelson Mandela Bay Stars’ roster for the maiden season of the T20 Global League. However, in October 2017, Cricket South Africa first postponed the event till November 2018, with it being scrapped shortly after.

In June 2018, Klaasen was selected for the lineup for the Titans team for the 2018–19 season. In October 2018, he was named in Durban Heat’s squad for the first edition of the Mzansi Super League T20 competition.
In December 2018, Klaasen was purchased by the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the player auction for the 2019 Indian Premier League. In June 2019, he was picked to play for the Toronto Nationals franchise squad in the 2019 Global T20 Canada competition. In July 2019, he was picked to play for the Glasgow Giants in the first edition of the Euro T20 Slam cricket event. However, the next month the competition was cancelled.
In September 2019, Klaasen was picked in the roster for the Tshwane Spartans team for the 2019 Mzansi Super League competition. He was released by the Royal Challengers Bangalore before of the 2020 IPL auction.
