The second season of the Women’s Premier League will take played from February 23 to March 17. The women’s T20 cricket event will take place in Bengaluru and Delhi, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced on Tuesday.
The defending champions Mumbai Indians will face last year’s finals Delhi Capitals in Bengaluru to begin the WPL 2024 season.
All matches until March 4 will be held at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi will host the remaining matches of the tournament.
There will be a total of 22 matches, including the elimination and final. The team at the top of the points table advances directly to the final. The opponents will be determined via an eliminator match between the second and third-placed clubs in the table.
The WPL 2024 auction featured 165 players (104 Indians and 61 foreign), however teams were only able to select 30 of them. Let’s Talk about Wpl 2024 Players List.
