He was born on June 1, 1993, in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. His father is a businessman. At the age of eight, he joined a cricket club, and later, his grandpa enrolled him in an academy. Initially, he started as a bowler, but after reaching the U-15 level, he shifted his focus to batting.

Rajat Patidar Career
He debuted first-class on October 30, 2015, during the 2015-16 Ranji Trophy. On January 8, 2018, he made his Twenty20 debut for Madhya Pradesh in the 2017-18 Zonal T20 League.
In the 2018-19 Ranji Trophy, he scored the most runs for Madhya Pradesh, totalling 713 in eight matches. In August 2019, he was selected for India Blue’s squad for the 2019-20 Duleep Trophy.
He had an average of 55.50 and a strike rate 152.75, and he performed admirably in the Ranji Trophy. Patidar’s impressive domestic season and performances in the 2022 IPL season earned him a spot in the One-Day International (ODI) team for the October series against South Africa. Later, in February 2023, he was selected as an injury substitute for Shreyas Iyer in the ODI team against New Zealand. However, he did not make it into the starting eleven on either occasion.

Rajat Patidar was bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore in the February 2021 IPL auction, before the 2021 Indian Premier League season. Although he played in four games, he only scored 71 runs and was eventually released before the start of the 2022 Indian Premier League.
Rajat was not selected during the 2022 IPL Player Auction. However, he was later signed by Royal Challengers Bangalore in the middle of the season as a replacement for the injured Luvnith Sisodia, for INR 20 lakhs.
On May 25, 2022, during the Indian Premier League Eliminator match against Lucknow Super Giants, Patidar played a match-winning innings, scoring 112* (54). He also set a new record by becoming the first uncapped player to score a century in the Indian Premier League playoffs.
