Sameer Rizvi Cricket Career
At the age of 16, he played his first-class debut for Uttar Pradesh in the 2019–20 Ranji Trophy on January 27, 2020. On December 11, 2021, he made his List A debut for Uttar Pradesh in the Vijay Hazare Trophy for 2021–2022. During the 2023 UP T20 League, he raised eyebrows in the social media world by amassing 455 runs in nine innings, including two centuries (the fastest century of the competition coming in just 47 deliveries) while playing for the Kanpur Superstars. He also raised the bar by being his team’s most consistent six-hitter throughout the competition.
His batting abilities during the UP T20 League attracted the attention of some IPL franchises, notably the Punjab Kings, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Rajasthan Royals, who invited him to trials. He was unable to participate in the trials due to commitments with the Uttar Pradesh Under-23 squad.
